Welcome

Our Club is a non-profit organisation.  We have approximately 100 members, of which approximately 60 are competitive swimmers.  The swimmers in our club are between the ages of 6 and 30 years of age.  We also have members who are swimmers with disabilities.  Our main objective is to promote participation and activity in the sport of swimming.

Our club members participate in 13 inter-city swimming meets, 2 local inter-club swim meets and 9 in-house club nights each season.  At the swim meets that we co-ordinate we have had up to 330 visiting swimmers participate.  The Gladstone Harbour City Swim Meet, which we host annually on the Australia Day weekend, is a premier swim meet of Central Queensland.

In 2008, Rhiannon Oliver became our club's first Australian Paralympic team member, please read about Rhiannon in the "Our Paralympian" section.

Our club is affiliated with and abide by the rules and by-laws of the following committees and governing bodies:

·      Gladstone Combined Swimming Clubs Committee,

·      Central Queensland Swimming Association,

·      Swimming Queensland, and

·      Swimming Australia.
